The national Zdzisław Szymański Prize for the year 2007 has been awarded to
Dr Adam Klimkiewicz
from Jagiellonian University
for his systematic investigation of the dipole response in exotic neutron-rich nuclei in 132Sn mass region
The international Zdzisław Szymański Prize for the years of 2005-2007 has been awarded to
Prof. Benoît Jean-Paul Gall
from Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg
for his outstanding contribution to experimental in-beam studies of superdeformed, octupole-deformed and heavy nuclei
Laureates were invited to give lectures during the Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses conference 2008 (ENAM08), September 7-13, Ryn, Poland. Dr Adam Klimkiewicz gave a lecture titled „Systematic investigation of the dipole response in exotic neutron-rich nuclei in 132Sn mass region” (pdf). Prof. Benoît Jean-Paul Gall gave a lecture titled „Single-particle structure and nuclear Pairing at the limits …” (pdf).
